BE A PART OF THIS BLESSED PROJECT
Alhamdulillah, by Allah’s permission and with the generous, blessed support of our community, the Islamic Center of North Marin purchased and a new masjid property in Novato. Now, having successfully gotten permits from city planners, crafted plans with professional architects, and engaged the work and bids of a number of contractors, we are ready to complete the final work to create the beautiful, sacred masjid home that we have all dreamed of. It is time to realize this dream and establish this as the blessed house of Allah for generations to come.
This is our final push where we will complete the required renovations and improvements before we begin full masjid operations, insha’Allah. From roof, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical upgrades, to the installation of full bathrooms, beautiful carpet, a mimbar, and lounges for men, women and youth, the improvements planned are exciting. Alhamdullilah, we have lined up a superb contractor, we’ve received the final permit approval with the city, and we are ready to begin construction.
WE NEED YOUR HELP to make this happen. Our total renovation costs are projected at $500,000. So far, we have raised $265,000. We need to secure the remaining $235,000.

✅ Raise all the money and purchase the property, debt-free!
✅ Receive conditional-use permit approval from City Planning
✅ Complete a site renovation plan with architects and consultants
✅ Clear plan review approval from the City
✅ Receive plan approval form the Fire Dept, Water Dept, and PG&E
✅ Complete bidding process and finalize the contractor
✅ Receive final building permit approval to begin construction

About ICNM
The mission of the Islamic Center of North Marin (ICNM) to serve as a source of guidance, knowledge, and service for the Muslims and broader community of North Marin, and to convey the beauty and wisdom of the Islamic tradition to our members, children, and neighbors.
Our community services include all five daily prayers (salah), weekly congregational prayers (jummu’ah), weekly study gatherings (halaqah), youth Qur’an studies (maktab), classes and programs of various types, including ones specifically for women, and interfaith and community engagement programs.
Founded in 2005 in a community member’s garage, ICNM has rented various facilities over the years and has worked tirelessly to established a long-dreamed of permanent masjid location. Alhamdulillah, last year, we finally found the perfect place and raised the money to completely purchase it. All the city approvals and permits have been secured and now the final step is the required renovations so we can properly move in and begin operations.
