Our Programs
The Islamic Center of North Marin (ICNM) offers a range of programs to serve, nourish, educate, inspire, and enrich our community. We regularly announce our programs through our online. social, and email communications. Please join us at one of our programs.
Our programs include:
- All five daily prayers (salah),
- Weekly congregational prayers (jummu’ah),
- Weekly study gatherings (halaqah), online and in-person
- Youth Qur’an studies (maktab)
- Classes and programs of various types, including ones specifically for women and youth,
- Interfaith and community engagement programs
- Community gatherings, picnics, dinners, etc.

@ Masjid Aisha, 7078 Redwood Blvd, Novato, CA 94945, USAA twice-per-month gathering for Muslim boys ages 8 to 18, to learn about the deen and connect to the brotherhood of Islam.
Teacher: Maulana Ahmed Baporia (local Marin County Islamic scholar)
The classes will follow Safar Publications curriculum(Takes place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday every month at the masjid)
Essentials of Worship for Sisters (Fiqh) with Ustadha Aasiyah Zoom + In Person
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
@ ZoomA weekly class covering the basic guidelines of worship and practice (fiqh) for Muslim women. These women-only interactive sessions will address the essentials of prayer, purification, and other topics from a woman’s perspective. The teacher, Ustadha Aasiyah Alexander, is an accomplished female scholar who has studied extensively with scholars in Syria and India and taught for over 20 years.
Class sessions take place online on ZOOM with one session in-person at the masjid on the FIRST Sunday of every month. The In-person session starts at 4:00 pm For questions email sisters@icmarin.org.

Get Involved
ICNM programs are led and driven by our talented and engaged volunteers. If you have ideas or want to get involved in delivery great programs for the community, please join our program committtees listed below.
Our program committees are:
- Community – Create and direct arrangements for religious celebrations, community gatherings, and other programs that build and nourish the community.
- Education – Drive educational activities including classes, workshops, after school programs, and other offerings that help our community learn and grow in their understading of Islam.
- Outreach – Lead and coordinate efforts to serve new Muslims and those interested in Islam, and to engage our larger community of neighbors, interfaith groups, and civic organizations.
- Youth – Direct activities that engage and serve the youth, ensuring they are welcome, their voices are heard, and they are having fun.
- Sisters – Lead and coordinate programs, activities, and education specifically serving sisters in the community and to assure the programming and operations of the masjid meets their needs.
- Religious Services – Oversees delivery of essential Islamic rites and services. Examples include counseling, nikah, janazah, shahadah, etc.
